According to Kanisa Public Relations, Mohammad Sepehr, CEO of Kaniyar Saei Mineral Production Company (Kanisa), announced: Fortunately, with the consultant’s and technologist’s approval, the contractor has finalised the production-line equipment purchase agreement with the foreign manufacturer. Production hall layout and engineering have begun accordingly. Thanks to the efforts made and support from the ministry and shareholders, progress towards producing steel cord conveyor belts continues.
He added: Work completed so far includes 3,000 cubic metres of excavation, 1,000 cubic metres of concrete, 60 tonnes of reinforcement, 2,000 square metres of formwork and 150 tonnes of steel structures. Given the schedule and good progress, industrial and non-industrial buildings will be completed by the end of Tir, and production halls will be ready for equipment installation.
The CEO added that order-registration permission and a foreign-currency allocation had been obtained from the ministry. With timely funding, equipment could, God willing, arrive in the country by year-end for installation and commissioning.
He said a memorandum had also been signed with a major steel cord conveyor belt manufacturer for knowledge transfer and staff training.
On financing, Mohammad Sepehr said shareholder cooperation had raised company capital to IRR 2,000 billion, with final registration steps under way. Preparations were being made for an extraordinary general meeting to approve another capital increase to complete the project.
