The manager of the Aleshtar steel cord and textile-reinforced conveyor belt plant construction project announced that the factory’s main hall structures had been erected.
During a visit to the project, Ali Masoumi stated that, according to representatives of the contractor and consultant companies, the main production hall structure would reach the roofing stage by the end of Aban.
He added that discussions with Mr Meymanatabadi, manager of Bank Mellat’s Lorestan branches, concerned the required financing. Funding from the bank was expected to accelerate project progress significantly.
The CEO of Kaniyar Saei Mineral Production Company (Kanisa) noted annual domestic demand of 46,000 tonnes of conveyor belts from steel, cement, petrochemical and other industries. He said the 4,000-tonne Aleshtar steel cord plant was designed and being implemented to supply Iran’s mining and metals industries, with support from Mines and Metals Development Investment Company (Vamaaden).
Emphasising local employment, he said around 70% of all personnel on the conveyor belt plant construction project were young people and local workers from Aleshtar and Lorestan, in line with the company’s policy of using regional capabilities.
He continued that the project was estimated to create more than 105 direct jobs after commissioning.
According to the report, Mr Amiri, Deputy for Industrial Affairs at Lorestan’s Industry, Mine and Trade Organisation, attended the visit.
